Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan denied information about purchase of drones in US

Recently, the media spread information that the American company Aerovironment will supply about 40 light reconnaissance unmanned aircraft (drone) of the RQ-20B PUMA 3 AE in Uzbekistan (drone). These unmanned vehicles are designed to conduct exploration over land or sea and provide the data in real time the image of the image. It was also noted that this is part of the US military sales program (FMS). However, the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan radically denied this information.

The ministry stressed that the government pays special attention to the issues of equipping modern samples of weapons and military equipment of the national army of the country. Also, they recognized that one of the leaders in this field is precisely American manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles, in view of which Uzbek experts show a certain interest in them, but “On the acquisition of the PUMA-RQ20 type, there is no speech to date.”

“Currently, Uzbekistan is not planning to acquire this military equipment,” they assured in the Ministry of Defense.

By the way, the discussed drones are equipped with a Mantis I45 AE Gimbal suspension from Aerovironment, which contains two 15 megapixel EO chambers with a 50-fold zoom, infrared sensor and powerful backlit. The span of the wings of the drone is 2.8 meters, and the maximum take-off weight is 6.8 kg. The drone is pretty lightweight and transferred by one person, runs away from hand. The duration of the failure of the drone is about 2 hours.
