Ministry of Emergencies of Russian Federation will send heavy aviation to Tyumen due to floods

The Russian Emergencies Ministry will direct heavy aviation for the evacuation and delivery of goods to Tyumen, where there is a chance of flooding of entire areas.

This was announced by the deputy head of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation Viktor Yatsuzenko, reported on Monday, April 8, Russian state media.

“In Tyumen, there is also the possibility of the flooding of entire regions of the city. We will concentrate the group and effort, including heavy aircraft, I mean Mi -26 helicopters for evacuation and for the delivery of goods,” he said.

Yatsutsenko noted that there is a small margin of time to transfer rescuers and equipment to the region.

The situation with the flood, according to Yatsuzenko, exacerbate uncontrolled discharge of water from reservoirs in Kazakhstan.

“Today, the reset on the Sergeyevsky hydroelectric station has increased many times, if the daily resolution is 95 cubic meters per second, then 4.6 thousand are an uncontrolled discharge,” he said.
