Ministry of Health held a meeting with regional director of World Bank in South Caucasus

The Ministry of Health held a meeting with the regional director of the World Bank in the South Caucasus Sebastian Molinaus, the press service of Azerbaijan Ministry of Health was told.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the application of new technologies in the health care system, as well as to improve the qualifications of personnel working in this area.

In his speech, the Minister of Health Teymur Musaev emphasized the polyhedral and fruitfulness of relations between Azerbaijan and the World Bank. The Minister noted that the use of digital technologies is the basis of the reform health care system: “Last year, important steps were taken towards the transition to electronic paperwork, the use of digital and innovative technologies in the health system.”

Teymur Musaev also thanked the World Bank for promoting digital health development in our country.

In turn, the Regional Director of the World Bank in the South Caucasus highly appreciated the reforms held in the Health System of Azerbaijan. Touching on the issue of spreading a Pandemic COVID-19, which became a global problem for the countries of the world, Sebastian Molinaus stressed that the work done by our country in the fight against Coronavirus deserves a high marks.

The parties also exchanged views on the restoration of medical infrastructure on the liberated territories.

During the meeting, held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, discussions were held on the implementation of joint projects in the future.
