Ministry of Health met with ambassador of Egypt

The Ministry of Health met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Egypt in Azerbaijan Hisham Mohamed Nagi. The meeting was also attended by the assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country on European issues Ihab Talaat Nasr.

Having greeted the guests, the Minister of Health Teymur Musaev emphasized that diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1992. Noting the development of bilateral relations in many areas, the minister emphasized that cooperation between countries in all areas is exemplary. According to him, cooperation with Egypt in the field of health and public health policy is carried out at the international level – in the framework of cooperation between the Ministers of Health of the World Health Organization, the organization of Islamic cooperation and the movement of non -alignment. Teimur Musaev also expressed hope for the further successful development of cooperation.

In turn, the hisham Mohamed Nagi emphasized that Egypt attaches great importance to strengthening bilateral relations with Azerbaijan.

Highly evaluating the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan in the healthcare system, the ambassador emphasized the successful interaction of the two countries in the field of the pharmaceutical industry.

During the meeting held in the spirit of constructive dialogue and mutual understanding, new prospects for the development and strengthening of cooperation in the field of healthcare and medical science were also discussed. In addition, discussions were held regarding the signing of a memorandum of cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals in the future.
