As previously reported, in Azerbaijan in 12 samples taken from those who arrived from abroad, “ohomikron” was discovered.
The Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan reports that at present the state of these persons is stable, they are at home under observation. Complications with the health of people infected by the omikron strain is not observed. Repeated samples taken from 8 out of 12 infected with this strain, gave a negative result, information about this was published in the E-Təbib system.
To control the epidemiological situation, regular analyzes are carried out on the genetic variants of the virus.
The Ministry of Health reminds that due to the active participation of the population in vaccination, the epidemiological situation in Azerbaijan is stable. Health authorities call on Azerbaijan citizens vaccinated by a booster dose to increase the organism antibodies again, given the decline in the level of immunity 6 months after vaccination of the second dose or recovery from COVID. Along with vaccination, the rules of a special quarantine regime must be observed, such as adherence to the physical distance, the use of masks and washing hands.
