Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova wants to adopt experience of Azerbaijani colleagues

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan Vilayat Eyvazov today adopted the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova Sergey Dyakon, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Chisinau Gudsi Osmanov also took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, Eyvazov noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of relations with the law enforcement agencies of Moldova both on the bilateral and multilateral basis. According to him, the regulatory framework of these relations is based, first of all, on mutual legal assistance, the exchange of experience and interstate agreements.

Dyakon, in turn, expressed confidence that such visits would give a new impetus to further expansion of cooperation between the relevant departments of the two countries, emphasizing that the Moldova Ministry of Internal Affairs is interested in studying the positive experience of its Azerbaijani colleagues in the field of crime and ensuring public order.

During the meeting, priority areas and prospects for cooperation, the fight against drug trafficking, as well as other types of transnational organized crime, activation of information metabolism and other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
