The territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia began to accept applications from Russians with dual citizenship about the unwillingness to consist in citizenship of Ukraine, the press center of the Ministry on Wednesday.
According to this law, all Russians, “having simultaneously Ukrainian citizenship, will be considered not having Ukrainian citizenship from the date of submission of an application for unwillingness to be in the citizenship of Ukraine,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said
The department noted that you can apply to any territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia or submit it through a single portal of state and municipal services (functions).
“The use of this mechanism will allow Russians to fully exercise their rights to Russians in cases where the presence of citizenship of a foreign state is a limiting factor. For example, when realizing the right to be elected to state authorities and local governments, when applying for admission to admission To state secrets or employment to state and municipal bodies, ”explained in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Citizens of the Russian Federation have reached the age of 14 years, they have the right to submit an application on their own. At the same time, on behalf of children who have not reached this age, a parent or other legal representative may apply to a statement.
