Employees of the Main Directorate for the Combat Crime Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the participation of specialists of the Forest Development Service of the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan conducted an operation on the detention of members of another organized group engaged in illegal cutting of trees and processing wood in forests on the territory of the country, the press service reports MVD.
It is noted that the Office received information on the illegal mass deforestation of the valuables of trees in the territory of Astarinsky and Lerik district.
As a result of the operational and search activities, it became known that the trees were cut down by members of an organized group led by residents of Astarinsky district Sarkdar Ganjiyev and Sarhad Eyninlayev.
In fact, a criminal case was initiated, an investigation is conducted.
