Minsk and New Delhi discussed regional security issues

Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik discussed with the Indian colleague Sibramaniam Jaishankar regional security issues, including a conflict in Ukraine. On Friday, January 19, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reports on the social network x.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Summit of Non -Single Movement in Uganda. The sonsheds stated the coincidence of the positions of Belarus and India in the need for a speedy search for diplomatic ways to resolve current conflicts, follows from the message.


Aleinik and Jayshankar paid special attention to extension of mutual trade, food security and cooperation projects.

The head of Belarusian diplomacy emphasized that India was the first to ratify the memorandum of the obligations of Belarus in order to obtain the status of the state – a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
