One of the main directions of social policy held in our country is comprehensive attention and care about the participants of World War II 1941-1945.
In the first years of our independence, the attitude to the participants of the Second World War was indifferent, but after the return of the national leader Heydar Aliyev to the Republic of Kazakhstan – after 1993, the veterans were again surrounded by care. On May 9, Victory Day again began to be celebrated as a public holiday, an active state policy was formed in the field of social protection of participants in the Second World War. This policy is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.
So disabled and participants in the Seconders are assigned and paid presidential pensions. Over the past period, these scholarships increased regularly. As another increase, decree of the head of state dated December 30, 2020, these pensions from the beginning of 2021 increased by an average of 50 percent, were reduced to 400 manat for disabled I degree, 350 manat for disabled degrees, 300 manat for disabled degree. Pension participants in World War II has been increased twice and reached 300 manat.
Along with the monthly scholarship of the President, the participants of the Second World War are given a pension (average monthly amount-415 manat). When appointing them, the pension was charged for their pensions in the manner prescribed by law.
President Ilham Aliyev annually on the eve of May 9 – Victory Day signs a decree on providing one-time material assistance to participants in World War II. By order of April 29, 2021 in connection with the 76th anniversary of victory to persons participating in World War II, a one-time material assistance in the amount of 1,500 manat, other persons provided by the order, – 750 manat
Decree covered a total of 5648 people, of which 159 were participants in World War II, and the rest – from other categories.
The amount of this material assistance in recent years has grown 3 times for war participants, widow fighters, for selfless work in the rear, etc. For persons awarded a medal and breast name “For merit to the Fatherland”, – almost 4 times.

Providing the specified category of citizens with reducing treatment, spa treatment, etc. The relevant work is carried out on the ground, if necessary, they also provide social services at home.
