Mintrude reports: thousands of heroes of Karabakh received keys to new apartments

Before the end of this year, several more apartment buildings will be presented to the families of the shekhid and disabled people of war. In 2021, 3 thousand apartments and private houses will be transferred to their use, of which 1,600 already handed over.

As reported by Haqqin.az in the press service of the Ministry of Labor, this was discussed at the collegial meeting at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. The Minister Sakhil Babaev noted that in August of this year, with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev and the first Lady Mehriban Alieiye families of Shekhids, people with disabilities and the heroes of the Patriotic War were provided with apartments and cars, which confirms the manifestation of the attention to citizens of this category and care at the highest level. Work on the expansion of the program of providing the apartments of the families of Shekhid and the disabled of war on behalf of the head of state continues.

It was noted that in 2019-2021 were overhauled, reconstructed, equipped with the most modern equipment and put into operation 12 rehabilitation institutions and social service ministry. By the end of the year it is planned to transfer to the Shemakhinsky Psychoneurological Institution of Social Services, children’s rehabilitation centers in Gabal and Shamkir.

At the meeting, the work carried out in the field of the implementation of the State Control, the construction of new social facilities, as well as the creation of new Dost centers was discussed. The activity of “Dost İş Mərkəzi” was studied.

It was said that work was underway to improve the program of paid public works, which currently covered 56 thousand persons. Persons involved in public works are mostly those who have no primary training. Therefore, one of the main goals is to ensure them in the framework of the program by work in a particular professional area, to create conditions for the development of initial professional knowledge in these areas, and as a result, an independent organization in the future of their business through acquired skills.

At the meeting, reports on the activities of the Department of Internal Control and Audit of the Ministry, the National Observatory on the Labor and Social Security Market and Social Protection, discussed work and upcoming tasks were discussed.
