In Azerbaijan, at noon on the day of popular sorrow – January 20 for one minute the movement of transport and pedestrians was suspended in memory of the victims of the tragedy of the Black January.
A minute of silence was accompanied by boots of ships in the Baku bay, railway trains.
On the night of January 19 to January 20, 1990, 150 were killed in Azerbaijan, 744 civilians were injured.
In connection with the 33rd anniversary of January 20, the Memory of Shehids is honored in cities and areas of Azerbaijan. In the morning of January 20, the inhabitants of Azerbaijan come to the alley of the Shahids, honor the memory of the dead, lay flowers to their graves.
