Mirziyoyev: Uzbekistan needs guaranteed and stable energy resources

“We plan to implement more than 500 large industrial and infrastructure projects with a total value of $ 150 billion,” he said.

According to the head of state, Uzbekistan is in a constant search for ways to mitigate the negative impact of climate change and supports the agreement of the countries of the world reached at the UN recent climate conference (COP28) in Dubai, three times to increase the “green” generation.

“Uzbekistan fully supports this actual initiative and will consistently continue the active investment policy for bringing green energy to 27 Gigavatts to 2030,” he said.

Now in Uzbekistan, work is underway on the construction projects of 22 solar and winds with a capacity of 9 gigavatts.

To stimulate this sphere, the Sunny House system is established for the provision of preferential loans and subsidies for the installation of solar panels and the guaranteed purchase of electricity produced.
