In one of the military units deployed in Chisinau, large -scale theft of weapons in its warehouses was found. The Ministry of Defense of Moldova confirmed this fact, clarifying that the military commandant’s office has already begun an investigation into the circumstances of this incident.
According to the report, the collected materials will be transferred to the inspector of the police of the Buyukan sector, who started a criminal case on theft of military property.
“The theft was identified during the process of receiving and transferring the position of the commander of the unit. The Ministry of Defense cooperates with the investigating authorities and will provide all the necessary assistance to identify all the details in this case,” the agency said.
