Moldova: a blogger was detained for justifying Russia’s aggression in Ukraine

It notes that the suspect was detained for interrogation, the investigation establishes the identity of other persons who distributed through various media, social networks, communication channels “Information for the creation of an emotional climate among the population of an armed conflict”.

Moldova parliament on February 24 introduced a state of emergency for 60 days due to the war in Ukraine. By order of the authorities, access to sites that apply misinformation affecting national security is blocked. The emergency regime also provided the authorities with the right to control the dissemination of information in the media. Among those who fell under these restrictions are television channels that relay programs from Russia.
