Moldova court extended deadline for arrest of Dodon

The former President of Moldova Igor Dodon will remain under house arrest for another 20 days. Such a decision was made by the court of the capital’s sector of Chekana, reports zdg.md

Nikolay Poshtoras, one of the lawyers of Igor Dodon, made a corresponding statement.

Recall, the former President of Moldova was detained on May 24 after the anti -corruption prosecutor’s office conducted searches in the house of the politician and his relatives. He is suspected of illegal enrichment, passive corruption, obtaining financing the political party with a criminal organization and state treason.
