Moldova Embassy in Astana began its work with the opening ceremony, in which foreign ministers of the two countries took part.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Moldova Mikhay Popshay, who arrived in his country on an official visit.
During the meeting held at the Ministry, Nurtleu and Popshai discussed Kazakh-Moldavian relations.
The parties agreed to deepen bilateral partnership based on friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as to jointly work on the use of opportunities in agriculture, transport, industry, digitalization, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Then the ministers took part in the opening of the Moldova embassy in Astana.
The Minister of Kazakhstan Nurtleu noted that the decision of Chisinau to open an embassy in Kazakhstan is a historical step that confirms the mutual desire to strengthen relations between the two countries.
