Mongolia and China discussed bilateral cooperation

The Foreign Minister of Mongolia Batmunhiin Batzeceg held negotiations with the Chinese colleague Qin Han in Beijing, reports Monzame.

The ministers discussed in detail the cooperation of Ulan-Bator and Beijing. An exchange of views was held on international and regional issues of mutual interest for both countries.

In addition, Batzesg and Gan discussed preparations for the planned visit by Prime Minister of Mongolia Luvsannamrine Oyun-Erdenet to China and the activation of contacts between the relevant organizations of both sides.

As the agency notes, during the state visit of President of Mongolia Ukhnai Huralsukh to China in November 2022, it was decided to work closely for the practical implementation of the agreements reached by the heads of states of the two countries, and to bring a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries to a new level.

In connection with this, we agreed to cooperate on the topic of long-term and stable supplies of the Mongolian products of the mining industry to the Chinese market and increase the export of agricultural products as part of the goal of activating trade and economic cooperation between Mongolia and China and increasing trade exploration to 20 billion US dollars in the next years.

The Minister affected the resumption of passenger trains between the two countries in the near future and increase the number of flights in order to attract Chinese tourists to Mongolia and support cooperation between tourist companies of the two countries.

The willingness to cooperate in the organization of the 17th conference of the parties to the UN Convention to Combat desertification (SOR17) in Mongolia in 2026,

Ulan-Bator and Beijing also agreed to study the possibility of cooperation in the new energy sector based on the resources of the solar and wind energy of Mongolia.
