Mongolia And Spain Discussed Ways To Strengthen Socio-economic Relations

The Foreign Minister of Mongolia Batmunhiin Batzeseg held a meeting with the chairman of the Spanish Senate Committee Jose Ignacio Landalus as part of his official visit to the Kingdom of Spain.

According to Montsame, during the meeting, the parties discussed issues of foreign policy and the priorities of the two countries. The intention is expressed to strengthen the Mongol-Spanish relations in various fields, including social and economic, on the basis of common values, such as democracy, human rights and the rule of law. It was also agreed that the parliaments of both countries would contribute to the deepening of economic cooperation.

Batzesg noted that from January 2025 the activities of the Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Mongolia-Spapania in the Great State Hurale of Mongolia have been resumed and expressed confidence in creating a similar group in the General Cortes of Spain.

The Minister emphasized the importance of the development of political relations, as well as trade and economic cooperation between countries, and presented the main goals of the Mongolian government.

The parties agreed that there is significant potential for mutually beneficial cooperation in areas such as light industry, processing agricultural products, tourism and education. It was decided to support these directions through parliamentary channels, exchange experience and organize mutual visits of parliamentarians.
