Moody’s and Fitch lowered Russia’s rating

International rating agency Fitch lowered the long-term rating of Russia with “BBB” to “B”, and Moody’s – to “B3”, immediately six steps, with the possibility of further decrease, reports on March 5, RIA Novosti.

Also Fitch lowered ratings (with the possibility of lowering) 32 Russian banks and their domestic and international subsidiaries, 11 energy companies, Peak and LSR developers, 26 Russian companies engaged in mining.

It is noted that this decision followed after a decrease in the sovereign rating of Russia to the level of “b” on March 2, 2022.
