Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrei Rudenko met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran, head of the Center for Political and International Studies Said Khatibzadeh.
“An interested exchange of views took place on the current and future bilateral agenda, as well as current regional issues, including the situation in Syria, the situation in Afghanistan, the crisis around Gaza, etc.,” follows from publication in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on Thursday, October 23.
The parties were pleased to note the closeness or coincidence of positions on most of the topics discussed, the text says.
A mutual commitment was expressed to further comprehensively strengthen the Russian-Iranian comprehensive strategic partnership and maintain a high level of foreign policy coordination.
