Russia supported the creation of an advisory regional mechanism “3 + 3” and believes that the time has come to translate plans for its launch into a practical direction. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharov declared on Wednesday on a weekly briefing.
“We proceed from the fact that the” 3 + 3 “format is in the interests of all countries of the region,” she said.
Commenting on the position of Georgia, Zakharova noted that conflicting statements were heard in Tbilisi regarding participation in this platform. At the same time, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Georgia as a sovereign state is entitled to adhere to its position on this issue.
