The interaction of Turkey and Azerbaijan should not violate the balance of forces in the region, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.
According to her, each country has a sovereign right to develop military and military-technical cooperation with other states.
“At the same time, we regularly bring to partners in the region the thesis that such interaction should not be directed against third countries and should not violate the existing balance of forces in Transcaucasia. This is equally related to the relations of Turkey and Azerbaijan,” – Zakharova said.
Earlier, the Minister of National Defense of Turkey, Hulushi Akar, said that the goal was set – up to 2025 to raise the level of the Azerbaijani army to the level of the Armed Forces of Turkey.
