Moscow received Washington’s answer

US Ambassador to Moscow John Sullivan handed over a written response to Russian proposals for security guarantees, stated in the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The report published on the website of the Russian Federation states that on January 26, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Alexander Grushko accepted Sullivan at his request. “During the meeting, the head of the American Distribution transferred a written response to the US Administration for the draft bilateral safety guarantees previously submitted by the Russian side,” said in the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Interfax reminds that Russia in mid-December 2021 put forward proposals for guarantees to ensure its security. We are talking about two documents – a contract between the Russian Federation and the United States on security guarantees and an agreement on measures to ensure the safety of the Russian Federation and the Member States of the North Atlantic Treaty.
