In the residential complex of the temporary residence of the forced settlers in the village of Masazir Absheron district, a meeting of the members of the Public Council under the State Committee on Refugees and Forced Migrants with residents of the first, second and third Ageals of the Zanginsky District were held.
The meeting was held to continue the dialogue with forced displaced persons on the eve of preparation for a large return, exchange of views on the resettlement strategy, information and educational work.
Meeting participants were provided with detailed information on the features of the “Smart Village” project, which first started in the village of the third Ageals of the Zanginsky district on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev. It was noted that relocation to settlements that will be reconstructed using the most modern technologies will be carried out on a voluntary basis.
Refugees from this village expressed gratitude to the head of state for the implementation of the project “Smart Village” for the first time in their homeland. By emphasizing that they are followed by the interest of the progress of the project, the residents of the village brought to the members of the Public Council their desire to see the current state of their relatives liberated from the occupation. At the same time, they expressed their opinion on the organization of relocation to the village, a number of proposals were put forward. It was emphasized that during the resettlement it is necessary to take into account the traditions that previously existed in the village.
Chairman of the Public Council Anar Khalilov noted that, on the basis of all voiced proposals, a report will be prepared, which will be submitted to the State Committee on Refugees and Forced Migrants.
The meeting was attended by the deputy head of the executive authority of the Zanginsky district Nizami Movsumov, representatives of the State Committee.
