Muslim Candidate Of Zaran Mamdani Won Primaries Of Democrats In New York

The Mamdani, who won the preliminary election of the Democratic Party in New York in New York, said that he intends to make the city accessible to all segments of the population and end class inequality. “I am struggling for the working class. My struggle is for those who can no longer afford to live in this city,” he emphasized in his speech at one of the election events.

Mamdani noted that his campaign was completely focused on making the most expensive city in the United States – New York – a place where everyone can afford housing and feel safe. He assured that he would continue this struggle, despite the opposition of the US President Donald Trump, which he accused of trying to destroy the social structure of the city.

The politician recalled that previously Trump threatened his deportation. “Donald Trump attacks me because he wants to distract attention from his war against the workers. But we will not give him a chance,” Mamdani said.

According to him, Trump’s accusations are an attempt to take public attention from such acute problems as the growth of the cost of life, food and housing. He added that Trump did not fulfill his election promises and betrayed the interests of the working class not only in New York, but throughout the country. Instead of real solutions, Mamdani noted, Trump sows class inequality and social discord.

“to confront authoritarianism and at the same time protect the rights of workers is ours, New York,” he added.

The candidate also sharply criticized Trump’s tax reform, which he called the “magnificent bill.” According to Mamdani, this initiative is a “betrayal of the American working class”, since it entails a reduction in healthcare and food assistance for those in need.

Previously, Trump, while in Florida in the Migration Center “Alligator Alcatraz”, said that in case of refusing Mamdani to cooperate with the migration authorities, he would need to be arrested and deported. “We do not need communists in this country,” Trump emphasized.
