Muslims in India went bulldozers

In many Indian cities, protests against the demolition of houses and enterprises belonging to Muslims have broken out as part of the unofficial program “Bulldozer Justice”.

On Sunday, the northern state-Pradesh authorities with the bulldozers demolished the house of Jave Ahmad, who, according to them, “was associated with Muslim religious protests that grew into violence last Friday.”

According to Al Arabiyya, the protests were triggered by insults against Islam and the Prophet Muhammad, recently made by two representatives of the Hindu nationalist party of the prime minister of the country of Modi “Bharatiy Dzhanata”.

The party removed one of them, making a statement in which “resolutely condemned insults of any religious figures.”

Last week, bulldozers also destroyed the property of protesters in two other cities of the state.

In April, the New Deli authorities used bulldozers for the demolition of stores belonging to Muslims a few days after inter-communal clashes, during which dozens of people were arrested. Similar incidents were registered in other states.

On Tuesday, June 14, 12 prominent figures, including former judges and lawyers of the Supreme Court and the High Court, sent a letter to the chief judge of India with an appeal to hold a hearing in the case of the demolition of houses, calling them illegal.

They accused the Uttar-Pradesh government of suppressing dissent by applying violence against protesters.

Two people who protested against the statements of representatives of the ruling party died from gunshot wounds during clashes with the police last Friday in Ranchi, the capital of Jarkhand.

Several countries with the Muslim majority also criticized the statement of representatives of the Indian ruling party, and protesters in Bangladesh called for a boycott of Indian goods.
