The Great Mosque Massie in the southern suburb of Paris was opened in 2019. This is the first mosque with high environmental quality in France. Among them are double insulation of walls and ceilings, LED lighting, heating and air conditioning system, water resource management, mainly glass minaret and roof vegetable coating.
The construction of the mosque cost 4.5 million euros. Money for construction was collected for donations from Muslims from Massie and other places of France.
Men can make a prayer on an area of 520 square meters on the ground floor of the mosque, and for women a mezzanine is allocated for women with an area of 250 square meters.
