British strain of coronavirus detected in the Ukrainian city of Ivano-Frankivsk. This was stated by the deputy head of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the chief state sanitary doctor of the country Viktor Lyashko.
“The Institute of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases named after Gromashevsky National Academy of Sciences has identified two mutated coronaviruses with genetic characteristics that correspond to the British version,” he said, noting that mutations of the coronavirus were detected in Ivano-Frankivsk in samples that were taken two weeks ago .
Kiev has already officially notified the World Health Organization (WHO) about this.
