A separate border division “Nakhchivan” was renamed the border detachment “Nakhchivan” of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan.
At the same time, the commander of the abolished border division, Lieutenant General Nihyameddin Tagiev, was relieved of his position, Colonel Bakhman Babaev was appointed in his place.
Niyamaddin Tagiev was appointed head of the Main Directorate in the State Border Service.
