National Protest Day: French against Sanitary Pass

Over 150 cities of France will be on Saturday the place of manifestations on a nationwide protest against new restrictive measures taken by the authorities in connection with COVID-19. This was reported by the France info radio station.

The discontent of the population caused the Parliament adopted last week and approved on August 5 with small changes to the Constitutional Council of the draft law, providing for the obligatory vaccination of medical personnel and expanding the use of sanitary passes. Without such certificates, it will now be impossible to visit cafes, restaurants, large supermarkets, concerts and performances.

This is the fourth day of mass protests of the population of France against tightening sanitary measures.

For the most important, the currently dissatisfied French authorities are family people, entrepreneurs for whom the tightened regime of skips creates obstacles in their work and everyday life. New rules come into force in the nearest Monday.

The representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told Agence France-Presse that the current protests causes concern about the security agencies, in particular due to the likelihood of unauthorized manifestations, including in Paris on the Champs Elysées and in the neighboring quarters. In total, four sanctioned shares of protest will be held in the capital of France with a total number of at least 10 thousand people.
