NATO has a new Special Representative in Caucasus

Javier Colimary was appointed deputy assistant on NATO Secretary-General on political issues and a special representative in the Caucasus and Central Asia, the North Atlantic Alliance site reports.

According to information, the Special Representative of NATO Secretary General is responsible for promoting the North Atlantic Union’s policy in two strategically important regions – in the Caucasus and Central Asia. He is responsible for the overall coordination of NATO’s partnership policy in these two regions and closely cooperates with regional leaders in order to expand their cooperation with the North Atlantic Union.
