NATO Secretary General did not call specific F-16 supplies to Ukraine

The terms of the supply of F-16 fighters to Ukraine will depend on the training of pilots and the assessment of the situation by the Allies. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

“When this happens, will depend on the duration of training, as well as on our constant assessment of the needs of Ukraine,” Stoltenberg said at a press conference following the meeting of the heads of the Ministry of Defense of NATO countries.

The head of the bloc also affected the prospects for Sweden entering the North Atlantic Alliance and the country’s integration into NATO.

“First of all, we should take into account that Sweden is” invited “, that is, the country is increasingly integrated into the civilian and military structures of NATO. When Sweden becomes a full member, of course, its complete integration will occur,” he explained.

According to Stoltenberg, who recently held in Ankara, a meeting of the constant joint mechanism of Turkey, Sweden, Finland and NATO and his meeting with Recep Tayyip Erdogan took place in the “constructive atmosphere”.

To the question about any progress regarding Sweden membership, Stoltenberg mentioned the meeting in Ankara and his meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. “At the meeting, of course, all the remaining issues were not resolved, but it took place and passed in a constructive atmosphere. We are observing some progress,” said the Secretary General.

Stoltenberg again said that Sweden fulfilled all the conditions for membership in NATO.
