NATO-Ukraine Council will discuss “grain deal”

A meeting of the Council of Ukraine – NATO dedicated to the Black Sea Grain initiative will be held on Wednesday, July 26, NATO press secretary Oana Lungri.

Lungrisu said that on Saturday, July 22, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg discussed with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky the exit of Russia from the Grain Transactions.

According to her, at the request of Zelensky, Stoltenberg will convene the NATO-Ukraine Council on Wednesday at the ambassador level.

At the Alliance summit in Vilnius, the Council of Ukraine – NATO was created on July 11-12, in the first meeting of which Zelensky took part.

July 22, 2022 in Istanbul in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UN Secretary General Antoniu Guterrish, an agreement was signed on the safe transportation of grain from the ports of Ukraine.

Signatures under the document were made by representatives of Ukraine, Russia, the UN and Turkey.

The agreement that is realized during Turkey coordination is aimed at resolving the global food crisis.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov on Monday said that Moscow will immediately return to the implementation of Black Sea agreements as soon as the Russian part of the grain transaction will be completed
