Netherlands are ready to consider issue of transferring to Kyiv Leopard-2 and F-16

The Government of the Netherlands, if necessary, will be ready to consider the issue of transferring to Ukraine the Leopard-2 tanks and F-16 aircraft, the EPE agency reports on Friday with reference to the head of the Netherlands Foreign Ministry Khuskra.

According to the minister, his country can “without prejudice” to consider the supply of such weapons. In the case of tanks, the Netherlands prefer not to act independently, but as part of a coalition from several countries. The question of aircraft, as Khukstra noted, can be considered in the event of an receipt of a request for them from Kyiv.

“We have no taboos (for supplying weapons),” he added.

The Agency notes that one of the four parties included in the Dutch ruling coalition is seeking the government more active transfer of weapons to Kyiv.

As for the tanks, the Netherlands, like other countries, cannot transfer them to a third party without the consent of their manufacturer – Germany. Berlin does not give such consent yet.
