Nevzorov put on international wanted list

journalist Alexander Nevzorov, accused in the criminal case of “disseminating misinformation about the Russian army,” has the opportunity to threaten witnesses and other defendants in their field. This is stated in the text of the court decision on the absentee arrest of a journalist, the text of which TASS got acquainted on Friday.

“The circumstances of the crime, the commission of which is accused of Nevzorov, in conjunction with the data on the personality of the accused gives the court to the court to believe that, being at large, hiding from the preliminary investigation authorities and the court, the accused Nevzorov may threaten witnesses and other participants in criminal proceedings , to destroy material evidence and in a different way to prevent proceedings in the criminal case, ”the document says.

It also notes that the journalist is hiding from the investigation outside the Russian Federation, since his financial situation allows you to be abroad for a long time. From there, as stated in the resolution, Nevzorov “continues to engage in criminal activity.” The journalist is put on the international wanted list.

The Moscow Basmanny Court on May 6 issued a decision on the absentee arrest of Nevzorov. He is accused under Part 2 of Art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Public distribution of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”). The journalist’s wife previously reported that he had left Russia to Israel.

According to investigators, Nevzorov on March 9 on Instagram and on March 19 on the YouTube channel published “deliberately false information about the intentional shelling of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Mariupol.”
