In order to increase the possibilities of medical insurance between the Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance and the Public Association “Association of Azerbaijan Insurers” signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The document was signed by the Minister of Health Teymur Musaev, Chairman of the Board of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance Zaur Aliyev and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Public Association “Association of Azerbaijan Insurers” Azer Aliyev.
The memorandum indicates such basic goals as the protection of public health, an effective organization of medical care by expanding the possibilities of medical insurance, achieving sustainable economic development in this area, and developing cooperation relations between state and private insurance subjects. The document also reflects such important issues as strengthening the relations of cooperation between the Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance and private insurance companies, the organization of information exchange and educational events, and other necessary measures.
Passing the Memorandum, on the basis of the submission of the Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance and the Public Association “Association of Azerbaijan Insurers” creates a working group consisting of representatives of private insurance companies.
the working group is instructed to study the problems that arise under public-private partnerships in the field of healthcare, and provide proposals for their decision; organization of educational training in the field of medical services, which are covered by compulsory medical insurance; taking measures to increase the interest of private insurance companies not covered by compulsory medical insurance in the provision of insurance offers for medical services; Study of advanced international practice in the field of additional medical insurance.
