On the basis of the Sheki branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, it is planned to open the Sheki State University. A corresponding appeal has already been made to the proper structure. This is stated in the report of the Cabinet of Ministers for 2020.
According to the report, at present, the Sheki branch trains personnel in eight specialties, about 270-280 students enroll every year. In general, about 1000 students study at the branch.
