Nigeria: 9 People Were Killed As Result Of Boko Haram Attack

As a result of the attack of the militants of the Boko Haram terrorist group in the state of Borno, 9 people were killed in the northeast of Nigeria, another 4 were injured. This is stated in the written statement of the state administration.

According to the report, the attack occurred in the area of ​​the Fatori Malam, located 272 kilometers from the capital of the state of the Maiduguri.

Boko Haram has been operating in Nigeria since the beginning of the 2000s, and since 2009 he has been actively conducting mass attacks. Since then, tens of thousands of people have died as a result of their actions.

Since 2015, the organization has spread its activities to neighboring countries – Cameroon, Chad and Niger. According to local authorities, only in the area of ​​Lake Chad at least 2 thousand people became victims of attacks.

Due to the terrorist threat and continuing clashes, hundreds of thousands of residents of the region were forced to leave their homes.
