Nigerian National Football Team’s Plane Made An Emergency Landing In Angola Due To Crack In Windshield

The plane carrying the Nigerian national football team, including Galatasaray players Victor Osimhen and Besiktas Wilfred Ndidi, made an emergency landing at Luanda airport due to a crack in the windshield.

According to the Nigerian Football Federation, the incident occurred during the flight to Uyo for a match qualifying tournament for the 2026 World Cup against Benin, scheduled for Tuesday.

“After takeoff, a crack appeared in the windshield of the plane, and the pilot returned the plane safely to Luanda airport,” the federation said in a statement. A new flight plan is being developed for the team.

“The plane with our football player Wilfred Ndidi made an emergency landing in Luanda due to a crack in the windshield. We contacted the player, he and his comrades are in good health. We wish the entire delegation of the Nigerian national team a speedy recovery,” the Besiktas club said on the social network of the American company H.
