Nigerian security forces have freed all 38 people kidnapped from a church in Eruku area in the western state of Kwara. Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced this on his page on the social network X.
The head of state recalled that he canceled his participation in the G20 summit in the Republic of South Africa in order to personally coordinate the work of the security forces.
Tinubu also expressed satisfaction that 51 of the abducted school students in Niger state were found.
The Nigerian leader stressed that he is closely monitoring the security situation throughout Nigeria. The President assured that during his time in office, the safety of the people will be ensured.
On November 18, the Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku area of Kwara State was attacked, resulting in the abduction of many people.
On November 21, members of a terrorist organization raided St. Mary’s School in Niger State, kidnapping students and staff. Of the more than 300 abducted, 51 people managed to escape.
