Nikol Pashinyan: Yerevan does not mind starting division of borders from four villages

Armenia does not mind starting the process of delimitation of borders from four villages belonging to Azerbaijan and under the control of Armenia in the 1990s.

This was announced in parliament by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“We do not mind starting the process of delimitation from the Tavush region and four villages of the Gazakh district of Azerbaijan,” he said.

According to the head of the Armenian Cabinet, the division of borders on this site can prevent the beginning of a new war, “although it does not guarantee the world.”

Note that the opposition of Armenia has previously repeatedly stated that they opposed the transfer of four villages to Azerbaijan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan previously announced the beginning of the actual phase of the process of delimitation and demarcation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Pashinyan recalled that Armenia will determine the border in accordance with the Almaty Declaration. “The process of delimitation and demarcation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan enters the actual phase. The borders must go and decide on the place where the borders of the Republic of Armenia begin, and this should be the state border between the Republic of Armenia and the Azerbaijan Republic,” said politician.

The Prime Minister said that the boundaries of Armenia will not change by any millimeter, since in accordance with the Constitution this will require a referendum involving the entire population.

According to the politician, the Armenian side will be able to begin the process of delimitation and demarcation of the actual border on the site from Baganis to Berkaber in accordance with the protocol agreed on the commissions.

The head of the Cabinet of Council of Armenia noted that the mutual discovery of fire is a normal situation in conditions when the boundaries have not yet been defined.
