Nine Azerbaijanis to be deported from Germany

Last year, a decision was made to deport nine Azerbaijani citizens who applied for asylum in Germany.

According to German media, 9 people applied to the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) in the federal state of Bavaria to obtain refugee status, but their appeal was not granted.

In relation to these persons, it was decided to voluntarily leave the country, but the citizens of Azerbaijan went to court. The trial has been dragged out by the coronavirus pandemic, with a final hearing last month.

The Munich city court ruled to deport Azerbaijani citizens from the country. After the trial, they were taken to the temporary detention center for deportees in the city of Deggendorf.
