No information about smartphones registered in Baku

Information on the preparation of the draft law on amending the Law “On State Duty” is published, providing for the revision of bets for registration of mobile communications, as well as passenger cars. “Turan” draws attention to the fact that the state duty is charged with individuals in accordance with this law, but according to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of July 31, 2018. The state duty in the amount of from 20 to 150 manat, depending on the market value of smartphones, as well as mobile phones without “smart” options, is charged only from individuals supplying them for personal use. This requirement does not apply to business entities importing mobile phones for commercial purposes.

This year, imports of smartphones from Vietnam (377 thousand pieces) increased twice. The phones supplied from this country are drawn up for customs purposes at a price of an average of $ 154.1. Importing mobile phones from China (608.4 thousand pieces) decreased by 7.7%, and from India (89 thousand pieces) – increased by 18.4%.
