North Korea awaits new sanctions

The United States can apply additional sanctions against the DPRK, and Washington regarding Pyongyang of nuclear weapons tests as a provocation, said US Finance Minister Janet Yellen. Yellen made the corresponding statement against the backdrop of anxiety in the West by the fact that the DPRK can prepare for the first test of nuclear weapons since 2017.

Yellen in an interview did not report exactly what sanctions could be, and when Washington decides to introduce them, but, according to her, sanctions may be necessary to encourage Pyongyang to abandon his nuclear program. The publication believes that Yellen can discuss such measures during meetings with South Korean officials, including with the President of the Republic of Korea Yun Sok Yole.

Pyongyang in 2022 has already held a record number of missile launches, including intercontinental ballistic missiles.
