North Korea Can Send Additional Troops To Russia

In South Korea, it is assumed that North Korea can send additional troops to Russia in July or August.

The National Intelligence Service of South Korea (NIS) shared updated information about the North Korean troops in the Russian-Ukrainian war with deputies of the Parliamentary Committee for Intelligence, closed to the press, Yonhap reports.

Speaking to the press on this issue, the deputies said that North Korea could send additional military units to Russia in July or August.

Accordingly, it is argued that North Korea has already begun the process of recruiting soldiers for this mission.

Lawsters believe that Pyongyang’s regime in exchange for the provision of Russia for more than 10 million artillery shells, missiles and long -range weapons lies on economic cooperation and technical support from Moscow.

North Korea sends construction troops to Kursk

Earlier, Secretary of the Russian Council, Sergei Shoigu, said that North Korea decided to send a fortification of 1,000 people and a construction detachment of 5,000 people to support recovery work to the Kursk region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea expressed deep concern about this and called on North Korea to immediately stop such actions.

Relations of Moscow and Pyongyan

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that in December 2024 an agreement on a comprehensive strategic partnership, signed between Moscow and Pyongyan in June 2024, entered into force.

The statement states that this agreement provides for mutual military assistance in the event of an attack on one of the parties and will contribute to the construction of an indivisible security system and a multipolar world order in North-Eastern Asia and the Asian-Pacific region.
