North Korean drone reached office of president of South Korea

The North Korean drone last month entered the base zone with a radius of 3.7 kilometers around the office of the President of the Republic of Korea Yun Sok Yolya in Seoul. This was reported on Thursday by Yonhap, citing a source in the country’s Ministry of Defense, adding that there was no serious violation of air space security.

The drone was among the five unmanned aerial vehicles that North Korea sent through a military demarcation, separating two Korea, December 26th

“UAV flew to the northern outskirts of the zone briefly, but did not come close to key security facilities,” the official said on anonymity conditions, referring to a zone called P -73.

Minister of Defense Lee Chon SOP informed President of South Korea about the penetration of the drone the day before, during a briefing about measures to combat UAVs.
