Number Of People Who Died As Result Of Landslide In Colombia Increased To 22 People

The number of those killed as a result of the landslide that occurred after heavy rains in the Colombian city of Medelin on June 24 increased to 22 people. Another 8 people are listed as missing.

According to the administration of the Governor of the Department of Antiokia, the new bodies of the dead were discovered in the areas of Belo and Altos-de or the oriental of the city, where the landslide after pouring rains.

The statement emphasizes that search and rescue work continues with the involvement of more than 390 people. Rescuers make every effort to extract bodies left under the rubble.

It is noted that many houses in the area are built on slopes at risk of collapse, so such structures are in the zone of increased danger.
