Number Of People Who Died As Result Of Floods In Texas Increased To 109 People

In the American state of Texas, search and rescue work continues after a destructive flood that occurred on July 4. According to the latest data, the number of dead reached 109 people, and 161 people in the Kerr district are considered missing.

This was stated by the Governor of Texas Greg Ebbott at a press conference, emphasizing that the work will continue until all the missing are found.

The flood began after sudden heavy rains, because of which the Guadalup river in the Kerr district came out of the shores.

US President Donald Trump announced the district of Kerr with a natural disaster zone.

Meanwhile, the local Republican authorities accused the National weather service of untimely and inaccurate warning about the impending disaster, associating this with the budgetary reductions carried out as part of the saving policy initiated by the Trump administration.
