The number of those killed as a result of a collision of railway trains on June 3 in East of India increased to 290.

The disaster occurred in the area of ​​the city of Balaor. According to one version, the passenger train Bangalor – Calcutta partially left the rails after a collision with another passenger team. Some of the wagons were on the neighboring paths, and a speedy train “Koromandelsky Express”, which was from Calcutta in Chennai, crashed into them.

The cause of the railway disaster in the East Indian state of Odisha was a change in the electronic blocking system. This was announced by the Minister of Iron Roads, Communications, Electronics and Information Technologies of the country Ashvini Vaishnav.

“We established the cause of the incident and the persons guilty of it. This happened due to a change in electronic lock,” he said.

According to Indian media, this accident is described as the “largest railway accident” that has occurred in the country over the past 20 years.
